Alan Millard is a long-time men’s equality advocate who first became involved during the beginning of the men’s rights cause. He began gathering information, speaking out, and writing articles in the early 1980s. He started writing his first book, Equality: A Man’s Claim, in the Spring of 1983 and has been recognised by the major men’s equality organisations and people since, with his work providing much of the original content groundwork for the men’s equality effort.
In the Autumn of 1988 he was contacted by Dr. Warren Farrell who asked him what was the most basic concept identifying men’s equality in formulating his new book, later to be titled The Myth of Male Power. Millard’s first book, Equality: A Man’s Claim was published in 1995. The National Coalition For Men (NCFM) praised Millard’s book as a vital contribution to the men’s rights movement. His other two men’s equality books include Land, People, Politics, and Ignorance and A Flaw From Within. In this latest reference he has incorporated his doctoral coursework and additional research, with 29 pages of references.
