One of the first things I’ve done to improve my diet and increase the nutrition in my diet is changing my breakfast routine.
I’m ashamed to admit that I’ve been regularly indulging in Coco Pops & Froot Loops. This week I’ve made the move to muesli. I’ll have other healthy meals for breakfast too. Muesli is a simple daily ‘go to’.
Originating in Switzerland, muesli is a fibre and protein power combination of rolled oats, dried fruits, and nuts. Though 1 cup pushes 300 calories, the payoff in vitamins and minerals across the board makes it a hearty meal.
